Empire Builder was a cross-country, multi-day, artist adventure and train conference on the Amtrak line of the same name. We converged on the train from cities around the country to meet, conspire, create, and interact while riding the rails to attend the Open Engagement Conference in Portland, OR from May 14-17, 2010. The trip launched from Washington DC and head west through Chicago and Minneapolis, before arriving in Portland.
